Senior journalist Ravish Kumar quits NDTV

A day after Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy, founders of New Delhi Television Ltd, resigned as Directors on the Board of RRPR Holding, senior journalist Ravish Kumar has also quit the news organisation with immediate effect.

Kumar, who has been Managing Editor at NDTV, had joined the organisation in 1994 and held several posts over the years. Among the many programmes that he hosted were NDTV’s flagship weekday show ‘Prime Time’, ‘Hum Log’, ‘Ravish Ki Report’ and ‘Des Ki Baat’.

As per news reports, NDTV, in an internal mail, stated that Kumar’s resignation was effective immediately.

The developments come amid Adani Group’s open offer to acquire NDTV. On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, NDTV informed the bourses that Sudipta Bhattacharya, Chief Technology Officer, Adani Group; senior journalist and CEO of Adani's AMG Media Network, Sanjay Pugalia; and journalist Senthil Sinniah Chengalvarayan had been appointed as Directors on the Board of RRPRH with immediate effect.
