SHANKAR EHSAAN LOY (SEL) bag marathi film fare award in two categories!

Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the musical trio that recently celebrated the twenty years of composing music together in Bollywood, has finally received the deserved recognition from the Marathi Film industry. Thanks to the trio's contribution for 'Katyar Kaljat Ghusli' and 'Mitwaa',  SEL (Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendosa) recently won Best Music Award at Karrm Filmfare Marathi Awards for their contribution in 'Katyar Kaljat Ghusli'

In Katyar Kaljat Ghusli, the trio helmed the music responsibilities with Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki - the original score composer for the play under the same name. For 'Mitwaa', the trio teamed up with Nilesh Moharir, Amitraj and Pankaj Padghan that earned the noted Bollywood composers second nomination under the same category.

The recognition from Marathi industry does not end there, as Shankar Mahadevan received the  'Best Singer' award for the song 'Soor Niragaas Ho' from 'Katyar Kaljat Ghusli'. Shankar Mahadevan, also, earned rave critical reviews for his acting debut in the same film.  'This one was special, I think it is really rare for a person to win best singer and best composer at the same time . This film is truly special to all of us as I believe it is a real landmark film in indian cinema . In today's day if a film based on classical music can will a main stream commercial award it is truly heartening, encouraging and gives us more faith ' signs off Shankar Mahadevan of SEL trio.
