ShareChat strengthens monetization team, announces leadership team for the vertical

ShareChat, the social media platform designed for Indian internet users, today announced a stronger focus on monetisation with three key senior executives appointment.

The below appointed leaders are responsible to spearhead monetisation efforts with brands and agencies in their respective zone, and will be reporting into Sunil Kamath, Chief Business Officer, ShareChat.

·          Satyajit Deb Roy, Director –North & East, ShareChat – Satyajit came from JioSaavn where he was an AVP, heading sales nationally for top categories at Jio Saavn. He has also worked with ESPN Digital Media and was responsible for monetisation for the property.

·          Satyen Kishan, Director – West, ShareChat – With almost two decades of experience, Satyen moved to ShareChat from MXPlayer where he was the National Sales Head. He has also held Key positions with Network18 and The Chernin Group where he was responsible for driving revenue functions.

·          Debasmita Ghosh, Director – South, ShareChat – Prior to ShareChat, Debasmita was leading the Sales effort for Twitter in South India as part of Twitter's catalyst team, Httpool Digital Pvt Ltd. She has also managed complex and challenging portfolios in companies like Times Internet & Network 18 etc.

Commenting on the development, Sunil Kamath, Chief Business Officer, ShareChat said, “ShareChat has already developed immense brand confidence and many leading consumer brands have expressed their interest to strategically explore the platform to connect with its audience. This offers an unique proposition to the brands to connect with people in their native language, and drive customised campaigns in one or more languages targeting only the relevant audience.”

The company has already built a 50+ team to drive the brand solutions, and closely working with brands and media agencies. It has implemented more than 20 campaigns for 10+ brands across 8 languages including the likes of Coca Cola, Oyo, MTR, Airtel, Pepsi, Future Group and Snapdeal since it started creating brand experiences on the platform from Q4, 2019.

Presently ShareChat has over 60 million monthly active users. The platform is available in 15 Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telegu, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati etc.
