Shiprocket ropes in corporate veteran Gautam Bansal as its Head

In its bid to catalyse its growth, Shiprocket, a data-driven logistics aggregation platform has appointed former Shuttl exec and corporate veteran Gautam Bansal as its Head Finance. In his role, he will be responsible for leading the overall finance function for the company along with driving key strategic business initiatives for the organization especially in the areas of data, machine learning and process automation.

Gautam has nearly 16 years of corporate finance experience across diverse sectors such as logistics, e-commerce, consulting, banking and FMCG in India and abroad. He has previously been associated with top MNCs and start-ups including Ernst & Young, Macquarie, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Shuttl.

An MBA from the National University of Singapore, a Chartered Accountant and an alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Gautam’s vision for Shiprocket is to drive transformation by bringing in data thinking at every layer of the organization. He also is keen to build capabilities in the company around process automation, analytics, machine learning and blockchain. He believes customer and employee centricity is key to building large scaled organisations and envisions Shiprocket to emerge as one of such companies in near future.
