Shobhaa De unveiled P.T.O a book by Y Sid Reddy

"Live Big Or Die Trying," said Y.Sid Reddy to a packed audience at Gallery BMB in Mumbai, as he quoted from his first literary venture - P.T.O., an exceptional book on quotes.

The first time author launched his book in the presence of an impressive turnout of friends and well-wishers from across the country who gathered at Mumbai's art and literature epicenter to felicitate Sid on his latest project.

Leading Indian author, social commentator, opinion shaper and journalist, Shobhaa Dé was the guest of honour at the event and unveiled the book's first copy. She shared, "P.T.O. is a thought provoking read put together by a young man who wishes to share his concerns with readers across the board. I am happy to support such an effort since the proceeds from the sale of the books will go towards a worthy cause that will provide educational opportunities to under privileged children."

Y.Sid Reddy, who is the CEO of Osadia Holdings, the parent company behind Country Club India Ltd, shared about P.T.O., "The book is a collection of my thoughts over the years. Some have played an important role in shaping my life, and many are my true beliefs and interpretations - impressions of my collective thoughts. P.T.O. is a product of 27 years of individual moments."

The unveiling was followed by an interactive session with the author and Ms. Dé, who spoke about, "the relevance of the book in today's day and age. Copies of P.T.O. were then auctioned and the proceeds donated to the CLAP Foundation, an NGO from Hyderabad for their "School on Wheels,' project, which works towards educating underprivileged children. The first copy of the book was auctioned and the final take away price was Rs. 1 lakh by Mr. Amith Dholakia, CEO, Dholakia Group. At the event, author Y.Sid Reddy also committed all the profits from the sale of P.T.O. to the "School on Wheels' charity.

The book reminds us, as we bustle through life, about the bigger meaning of being alive - to find the potential within each other, to celebrate what makes us unique and what connects us as entities sharing the same existence; to find out what sets our hearts on fire, and instil peace in the mind; to encourage ourselves to see the potential that lies in the universe and to create the possible out of what seems to be impossible; to have a sense of humour while we are at it, to make the whole process uniquely human. The book is available at all leading bookstores across the country and is published by Leadstart Publishing.

Guests were later spotted mingling over champagne and strawberries. Those seen at the event included Amith Dholakia, CEO, Dholakia Group, Ved Prakash, CEO, Tata Mutual Fund, Dilip Bhat & Amisha Vora, Directors, Prabhudas Leeladhar and a few others.
