ShopClues holds a ‘Seller Summit’ for better dealing

In order to help its merchants deal with the direct consequences of the ongoing cash crunch, ShopClues, India’s first and largest marketplace organised a ‘Seller Summit’. The event was held at Delhi on 21st December. The summit sought to assist ShopClues’ merchant community to navigate through the impact of demonetisation in India and offer them direction on how to better manage their business with the upcoming GST roll-out. The e-commerce platform also showcased the brand’s initiatives such as Capital Wings and ShopClues Reach which are tailored to ease the burden on merchants. The event was attended by the top 200 sellers on the ShopClues platform.

Ganesh Balakrishnan, AVP - Merchant Services said, “In line with our constant merchant empowerment endeavours, we are delighted at the response we received for today’s Seller Summit. With industry experts sharing their handcrafted strategies for merchants in the wake of demonetisation, we believe the summit has provided much-needed guidance to sellers to handle all the challenges they are facing at the moment. Moreover, the event also equipped our merchant community to be ready for the upcoming GST roll-out.”

ShopClues Capital Wings initiative provides low interest short-term loans with zero processing fee to the ShopClues’ merchants with a repayment tenure of 1 to 3 months. On the other hand, ShopClues’ Reach is a payment gateway that enables offline merchants to process cashless transactions without any digital download. The sponsored event also had banner presence as well as kiosks to increase the visibility of ShopClues’ merchants.
