Shubhranshu Singh moves from Visa to Star Sports, as marketing Head

It appears that ‘no time to rest’ is a mantra that the sports channel cluster at STAR India have taken too seriously. Just before the year closes its books for 2013, announcements and appoints don’t seem cease at the network’s end. In a first for the category of the network, Star Sports has appointed Shubhranshu Singh as its Head of Marketing.

Sources, confirming the new appointment, have stated that Singh’s official designation would be Senior Vice-President and Head of Marketing, Star Sports.
Singh moves to Star Sports following a two year stint with Visa, the financial services brand, as its Marketing Director, India and South Asia. This development holds dual significance as its the first for the channel(s) and marks Singh’s way in the media industry.

Holding an MBA degree in International business, Singh has an experience of over a decade and a half in the marketing space. Having started his career with Hindustan Unilever in 1999, Singh has worked across numerous categories and brands like, Seranova Inc, HCL Perot system, Lakme, Diageo and his last organisation Visa in various organisational capabilities.
