Siddharth Kumar Tewary's global series Porus hits a century!

Director, Writer, Producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s global series Porus (on Sony)  is no ordinary show and so there was no way that the 100th episode celebrations party could be ordinary as well. Held on Friday night in Umergaon at a hotel, the party was a rocking affair. Dressed in their casual best, the guests danced the night away!

The guest list included the cast of the show as well as others related to it. Besides co-producer Rahul Kumar Tewary, other biggies who graced the event included Rohit Purohit, Laksh, Sameksha, Rati Pandey, Gurpreet Singh, Suhani Dhanki, Sareh Far, Akash Singh Rajput, Chiraj Jani, Vishal Patni, Riya Deepsi and Aditya Redij. The celebrities partied hard and helped themselves to a yummy spread. They also clicked fun selfies and pictures together. 

Laksh, who plays the title role in the show, was ecstatic. “It feels amazing to be part of such a show. Playing the role of Porus has taught me so much,” he says.

Siddharth’s unique storytelling, larger-than-life-sets and perfect casting has worked. The global series that showcases the story of the greatest conqueror of the world, Alexander and the most spirited defender of India, Porus set in 350 BC has clicked with audiences.  Porus is also on air in Sri Lanka and getting superb response. 

Rohit, too, who plays the role of Alexander, was thrilled. “We had such an amazing party. The fact that the show has completed 100 episodes shows that people are loving it and I feel blessed to be a part of a show of this magnitude,” he says.
