SITI Cable Introduces monthly digital cable TV packages

SITI Cable Network Limited (formerly known as Wire and Wireless (India) Limited (WWIL)), the leading Cable Television service provider in India, as part of its commitment for timely implementation of first phase of digitization in its three lucrative markets of Delhi, Mumbai & Kolkata has introduced  digital cable television packages.

 

Initially SITI Digital will offer two packages namely Janta & Popular packs. The channels in these packs are listed genre wise & differentiation in the packages has been created based on the needs & choices of existing cable TV consumers.

 

Popular pack is offered at Rs.150 per month plus 12.36% Service tax and Rs. 20 Entertainment tax for Delhi & Rs. 45 Entertainment tax for Mumbai. It offers 142 channels to Delhi subscriber, 153 channels to Mumbai Subscriber & 151 channels to Kolkata subscriber for Rs. 150 per month plus taxes. It has both pay & FTA channels from different genre’s like Hindi Entertainment, Hindi Movies, Hindi News, English News, Hindi Business News, Kids Music, lifestyle, Infotainment & Education, International, Sports, devotional and regional channels of language - Bangla, Guajarati, Marathi, Oriya, Urdu, Punjabi, Assamese, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam.

 

Janta pack comprises of 118 channels at a cost of just Rs.100 per month plus 12.36 Service tax and Rs. 20 Entertainment tax for Delhi & Rs. 45 Entertainment tax for Mumbai. It has channels from different genre’s like Entertainment,  Movies, Hindi News, Music , lifestyle, Infotainment & Education, International , Sports, devotional and regional channels of various languages -  Bangla, Guajarati, Marathi, Oriya, Urdu, Punjabi, Assamese, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada & Malayalam.

 

The subscriber needs to install the digital Set-top-box before digitization deadline.  SITI Digital offers Set-top-Box under the following schemes to the subscribers.

 

 

In addition to the above STB charges subscriber will also have to pay the monthly charges for the chosen package

 

The channel listing is available on website www.siticable.com . The channel listing is subject to change before the digitization deadline. The billing to the subscriber will start from 1st November 2012 for digital cable television services.

 

Subscriber receiving television channels in Phase-1 (metros) via analog cable networks have to switch to digital Set-Top-Box (STB) by 31st October 2012, as per the government mandate for complete digitization of Cable TV Networks in the country. The digitization of cable TV will provide better viewing experience to the subscriber in terms of the more number of TV channels with better quality picture and sound.
