Snapchat created a new lens for Independence Day

The 74^th Independence Day is here and with social distancing and other health measures in place, Independence Day celebrations will be markedly different this time. While we miss our local flag hoisting rituals, we can always stay connected and celebrate the day with our friends and family across the country. Snapchat brings to us a virtual flag hoisting experience followed by tricolours confetti showers through and Independence Day special lens. 

The lens is specially created by one of Snap’s Official Lens Creators in India, Jagmeet Singh, and gets activated when we raise a salute.

Here’s how it works:

3. You get a face lens with Indian tricolours
