Snapdeal appoints Anup Vikal as Chief Financial Officer

Anup brings over 23 years rich experience in Finance Operations and Strategic Finance to Snapdeal’s leadership team.

Snapdeal, India’s largest online marketplace, today announced the appointment of Anup Vikal as the Chief Financial Officer. A seasoned finance professional Anup brings over 23 years of experience in Finance, Strategy and Corporate Governance across multiple industry sectors.

Prior to his appointment at Snapdeal, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Aircel, where he was responsible for building business through revenue growth, implementing massive cost optimization, restructuring of debt and capital, improving the Credit Rating of the company as well as interfacing with the government, TRAI and other authorities. He played a pivotal role in the company’s turnaround to become profitable.  Before joining Aircel, Anup was the Group-CFO & Head of Strategy and IT at InterGlobe Enterprises, wherein he handled multiple responsibilities like incubating and developing new business, mergers and acquisitions and portfolio management. Earlier, Anup has also served as Director and Head of Finance Shared Services for Colt Technology for 3 years and Bharti Airtel where he headed the Finance division for close to 7 years.

Anup holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from NIT, Surat and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from South Gujarat University. He will be based out of Snapdeal’s Gurgaon office.
