Sony beefs up weekday prime time offering with 'Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania'

Sony Entertainment Television is all set to present yet another light-hearted drama of an eccentric 14-member family – Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania. Produced by Bodhi Tree Productions and starring Priyanshu Jora and Namita Dubey in lead roles, the show premieres July 18, 2016 at 9 pm and will air Monday to Friday.

Set in the small town of Devpur, Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania is a love story of two distinctly different individuals with diverse mind-sets, backgrounds and values. The show revolves around Bade Bhaiyya, Abhishek (Priyanshu), who is the only responsible and earning member of the 14 member Pant family. Though his family is extremely lazy, they are an adorable bunch of people set out to find the perfect suitor for Abhishek. Each member has their own demands in terms of the qualities she should possess, making the search highly impossible. However, Abhishek’s life takes a new turn when he meets Meera (Namita), a beautiful, carefree and fun-loving girl. Though Meera hails from a rich family of high-achievers, she doesn’t nurture great career ambitions. She strongly believes that people should aim at being happy more than chasing materialistic pleasures. She believes in living life to the fullest. She is also a stark contrast to the Pant family’s expectations of a bahu.

Whether Meera is be able to stand the test of the highly demanding Pant family and become the perfect dulhania or will she completely transform the Pant household, forms the crux of the story.
The makers have left no stone unturned to find the perfect cast for the show as each character is unique and peculiar in its own way. Joining Priyanshu and Namita will be popular actors Ritu Seth, Sonia Kaur, Saloni Daini, Ushma Rathore and Ashish Chaturvedi amongst others who will be seen in pivotal roles.
