Sony disconnects Satellite feed to MSO Manthan

On June 15, 2018 Sony Pictures Network has cut off the satellite feed to Manthan, a Kolkata based multimedia system operator because of unpaid dues. The channels were brought down in the middle of the World Cup match between Spain and Portugal that took place on June 15.

Around two lakh cable homes that get their satellite television feed through Manthan missed watching FIFA World Cup 2018 as the Sony channels were suspended on Manthan.

Commenting on the same, Spokesperson from Sony Pictures Networks said that India Manthan’s team is in touch with our team and we are hoping that they resolve the issue of their huge outstanding payments. We regret that due to Manthan’s long outstanding dues, fans have not been able to enjoy the 2018 FIFA World Cup.  Manthan has to comply with the directive of the Honourable TDSAT in order for us to activate the services again.
