Sony’s show ‘Porus’ now airing in Sri Lanka as ‘Digvijaya'

Sony Entertainment Television’s magnum opus – ‘Porus’ – is reaching out to international shores as well. The historical show, directed by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, Founder and Chief Creative, Swastik Productions, is now being aired in Sri Lanka on the channel Siarasa TV. However, ‘Porus’ is airing in the island nation under the name – ‘Digvijaya’. 

‘Porus’ premiered on Sony on November 27, 2017 and airs at 8.30 pm. The show made quite a splash in media even before its release, thanks to the promos of the grand spectacle. In a first for Indian television, the producer of ‘Porus’, Siddharth Kumar Tewary, hold the IP rights to the show, whereas it is usually the channel that retains the IPR. 

As per the Twitter page of One Life Studio, it was mentioned about ‘Porus’: “Launched in Sri Lanka last night. This is only the beginning.”
