Sony YAY! ropes in art genius Lalon for creating digital workshops

This summer vacation while all the families cooped up in their homes, it has become almost too hard to find new ways of fun for the little ones. Kids’ favourite channel, Sony YAY! has pulled all stops this vacation to ensure that the kids are engaged with interactive content beyond their television screens. The channel aired brand-new episodes and telemovies of beloved shows Honey Bunny ka Jholmaal, Paap-O-Meter and KickO & Super Speedo! Taking the entertainment quotient higher and leveraging the power of digital media, Sony YAY! had curated a fun-line up consisting of experts teaching novel things to kids with ‘YAY! Summer Camps’. To make summers a little more easy and artsy, Sony YAY! now collaborates with the renowned art genius Lalon to create a special DIY video series spanning 10 digital workshops with a special message of ‘Art for Every Heart’. Through this campaign, the channel aims to foster the creative genius in each kid to create masterpieces and thereby giving wings to their imagination.

Released every Sunday, the video workshop features the host, Lalon showcasing cool tricks, DIY techniques and fun-hacks ensuring a wholesome session that is full of creativity. In the six episodes launched so far, Lalon has taught a bunch of easy & eco-friendly DIYs like making re-usable masks with fun designs on them, recycled photo frame entirely out of twigs, amongst many other interesting activities. In the past six weeks, it has become a ritual for all these young fans to watch him perform and they have lapped up all different experiments and immersive quirky art. Even their parents appreciate this new habit and mommies around the country have been singing praises for this initiative.

As an extension of Sony YAY!’s summer campaign ‘What’s Your Summer Plan?’, the video series is another immersive medium curated by the channel that aims to make summer vacation full of fun and learning for the young fans. Ever-present across multiple touchpoints, the channel is amplifying the campaign message by making these videos available on its video-on-demand communities on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and JioTV. By roping in Lalon, Sony YAY! adds extra dimensions to their content offering to stand as the one-stop destination for unlimited fun and happiness
