Spirit W | Ability to simplify things has been my motivator: MAAC's Bhavika Chouhan

The ability to make life simpler and better is the best way to deal with a tough life and career is Bhavika Chouhan’s motto in life.  A marketing professional, she has always looked at life and career in a positive way since her 15 years experience in the industry . Having done her Master’s in Chemistry, she landed up in Sales & Marketing, which is technically speaking, nowhere related to her academic qualifications. Nonetheless, she started her career with a very large vocational education player as a Profit Centre Head. What was most important for her at that stage in life was to enjoy her job since she believes that it is not always possible to get what one wishes for in life.

Chouhan realized that she enjoyed doing sales and generating business through innovative marketing ideas. As an individual she loves to solve problems and offer solutions which are of great help to individuals as well as her company. It was her passion and inclination towards sales and marketing which made her choose this profession. A go getter by nature and being veryfocused and highly committed has helped her reach the position that she is in today.

To know more and understand her take on the evolution of marketing, promotion and the animation industry, Adgully caught up with Bhavika A. Chouhan, Sr. VP – Marketing Head, MAAC.

Sharing some key points of her journey, Chouhan said, "Ability to simplify things has always been my biggest motivator. The resultant is of course sheer hard work and dedication that has helped me reach this position. There are a lot of very powerful experiences which have helped me in my career which spans for almost 15 years."

"There has been tremendous learning at every stage from a lot of people whom I have had an opportunity to work with. A few of them are still my mentors and I take their advice whenever needed. I have won a lot of appreciation from the management for my contribution to the brand and was recently conferred “Aptech’s Super Achiever Award”," she added.

MAAC, one of the finest brands in the field of Animation & VFX training started in the year 1996, and in the last 13 years, has been providing quality manpower to the Industry.

Evaluating the growth and evolution of the industry that she is inChouhan considers the growth yet to happen and what we are currently witnessing is only the tip of the iceberg.

Today our country is seeing usage of animation in all fields be itadvertising or movies etc. According to Chouhan with theacceptance and growth of animation and advancement in technology in this space, the usage of animation & vfx would not be just restricted to the M&E sector. Even today, it is used inthe fields of Defence, Education, Medical science, Simulations etc. and the demand and usage would definitely be growing in the coming years.

Shedding light on the new marketing initiative by MAAC and how it would impact the industry and students Chouhaninformed, “We have just announced MAAC Scholarship-Carnival Of Creativity for animation aspirants across India. For animation aspirants, the event incorporates series of activities with lots of fun, excitement, prizes and scholarships to be won. Scholarships will be awarded to eligible students on long term career courses in Animation, Multimedia, Gaming and VFX. The Scholarship-Carnival of Creativity commences onNovember 21, 2013.”

The event is a great platform for Animation/ VFX enthusiasts to showcase their talent and gives them an opportunity to be trained professionally with India’s finest animation institute. It is estimated that more than ten thousand animation aspirants, from across India, will participate in this carnival and hundreds of creatively inclined aspirants would be awarded scholarships

Bhavika Chouhan has chalked out her future plans. She intends doing quality work and in all probability mentoring a lot of youngsters. She feels very strongly on giving back to the society and routinely involving herself with the social upliftment of the downtrodden.
