Spirit W | Women are naturally better at multi-tasking: MediaCom's Aatika Ansari

She won accolades for her work on brand Volkswagen at the the third edition of the Young Achievers Awards 2011 organized by The Advertising Club of Bombay. She is young and as she puts it a "headstong' lady. Meet Aatika Ansari, Business Manager- Planning, MediaCom.

Since the start of her career she has been with MediaCom and keeps us glued on as she says, "A perfectionist with a penchant for numbers and a passion for new ideas. I am a true MediaCom find as I started my career with them. I am currently working on Volkswagen as my key brand."

So which are some of the work that make you really proud?

Ansari says, "I am proud of all the work that has happened on Volkswagen from November 2009 onwards, we as a team are extremely pleased with 'Vento Talking Newspaper' and the dramatic launch of the Volkswagen Polo which had die-cut, MTV Polo challenge, stunt drives, race polo cup and the works."

"But the smaller initiatives like 'Innovations for Everyone' contest with NGC (contest to award ideas/innovations that better life - overawed me with the kind of ideas that come from the common Indians) or the recently executed 'Think Blue' drive in Mumbai (market clean-up activity) are my personal favorites ," she adds.

With inspirations like Kiran Mazumdar Shaw and Medha Patkar for the tenacity and focus in whatever they do, Ansari adds with confidence that, "Women score for sure over men in media, as they are naturally better at multi-tasking and thats a huge edge."

She further adds that media industry lacks the pull for bringing in and retaining the best of talent.

As she keeps us blown away with her replies and yes "headstrong' replies, we will just take a little more time to get rid of this "awe-struck' expression on our faces.
