Sprout rebrands to InMobi Studio

Today, InMobi, the largest independent mobile advertising network, announces that it has experienced 437% growth in rich media ad impressions on its HTML5 ad authoring platform, Sprout, in the first eight months of 2012.  During this period, the growth of mobile and tablet devices, and increase in consumers' mobile media consumption have contributed to significant change in the advertising landscape and the uptake of mobile rich media.

The announcement coincides with the rebrand of the Sprout platform to InMobi Studio. Since acquiring Sprout in August 2011, InMobi has evolved the platform with ad innovation, engagement reporting and analytics, to develop the product in line with increased customer adoption.  Leading advertising agencies and premium publishers such as Hearst Digital Media, MediaCom EMEA, The Gary Group, and MocoSpace have already adopted the InMobi Studio platform.

Laura Schooling, Hearst Digital Media's executive director of marketing services, said, "InMobi Studio enables us to build deeply engaging advertising experiences for our clients across mobile devices extremely fast. The platform also allows us to develop solutions that maximize functionality across multiple screen sizes and device types, including tablets and smartphones."

Michael Becker, the Mobile Marketing Association's Managing Director, North America, said, "Across the mobile industry, we have seen rapid growth in rich media advertising, which is proven to increase brand favorability, purchase intent, and time spent in ads. The combination of the powerful capabilities inherent in mobile devices and the compelling creative made possible by rich media results in a superior experience for consumers and greater ad effectiveness."

Advertising campaigns created on the InMobi Studio platform have won multiple awards, including: the 2012InsightExpress Award for the mobile campaign with the highest shift in purchase intent and brand favorability, two Australian Mobile Awards for Best Multi-Channel Integrated Marketing Campaign and Best Use of Mobile Media in Advertising, and the Web Marketing Association's 2012 Internet Advertising Competition Award for Best Game Site Mobile Application ad.  It has also been featured in the Interactive Advertising Bureau's smartphone and tablet creative showcases.

Carnet Williams, VP of Brand Solutions at InMobi, said, "The growth of InMobi Studio is not only exciting but indicative of the huge market opportunity.  Its simplicity and power allow brands and marketers to focus on creating engaging and high-touch brand experiences quickly, without
compromising on quality."
InMobi Studio empowers designers to create award-winning rich media ads without coding or technical limitations in an intuitive visual design interface, with features that include gamification, gesturing, animation, mobile video and location-based ads.  The HTML5 ads run on multiple platforms, operating systems and mobile ad networks, and are MRAID and ORMMA
compliant.  InMobi Studio analytics enable designers to optimize creative in real time, and compare mobile-specific rich media performance and engagement metrics, such as shakes, tilts, and device orientation, across multiple ad networks and publishers. InMobi Studio will continue to support multiple ad-networks, and will remain independent from the InMobi network.

Additionally, the InMobi Creative Services team work closely with agencies and advertisers to help them create and execute award winning campaigns that leverage the numerous features of today's mobile devices.
