Star India appoints Krishnan Kutty as Head - English Cluster

Krishnan Kutty, Head of Distribution at Star India, is taking on the responsibility of the network’s English Cluster as General Manager. The English Cluster includes English entertainment channels Star World, Star World HD, Star World Premiere HD, FX and FX HD; English movie channels Star Movies, Star Movies HD, Star Movies Action, and Star Movies Select HD.

His new role will also require him to manage Star India’s association with the Fox International Channels.

Kutty had joined Star India in 2005 as Vice President – Research and On Air. In 2009 he was promoted to Executive Vice President – Distribution and subsequently, the Head of Distribution in April last year. Kutty is an alumnus of ISB and had worked with GroupM, Vodafone and NDTV prior to joining Star India.

Till last year, Kevin Vaz had been looking after Star India’s English Cluster, along with Star Jalsha, Jalsha Movies and Channel [v]. He was given the addition charge of the network’s Hindi GECs in November 2015.
