Star India's Business Head, Nitin Vaidya quits!

Nitin Vaidya , Business Head Of Star India has resigned from STAR India on 20th July 2012.  His stint with STAR India began in May 2011 when he joined them as Business Head for the Hindi channel. He was managing Star Plus, Star One, Star Gold and Star Utsav for the channel.

 

Though Vaidya himself was not forthcoming with the news, industry sources have confirmed the development.

 

Vaidya’s career  began with the Sakal Group. Previously Vaidya was the Business Head at Zee TV and Chief Operating Officer, National Channels. The credit of launching and later establishing Zee Marathi goes to him. Zee Talkies and Zee Bangla too was launched during his tenure with them. His contribution to the film production and distribution business in Marathi also has been noteworthy.
