Star Movies Select HD’s films to see before you die’ features two foreign language films

Ever since Star Movies Select HD began its film Festival “Films To See Before You Die’ , it has certainly featured a wide array of films that are indeed movie titles that need to be watched at least once in your lifetime.. To name a few the charismatic line-up of the festival included some of the biggest Academy Award winning titles like - Goodfellas, 2001:A Space Odyssey, Chariots of Fire, Full Metal Jacket, Shawshank Redemption, Casablanca, As Good As it Gets, Star Wars IV: A New Hope and many more.

The impact of movies showcased by Star Movies Select HD is so deep and intense that they have moved our souls and changed our perspective of what certain words could mean such as Space, Love, Friendship and many more. As the festival soon draws to a close on Wednesday, 14^th December, Star Movies Select HD has kept the best for last with featuring three foreign language films from Monday to Wednesday.  Here is a sneak peek of the upcoming films:

KAGEMUSHA _ The Shadow Warrior

Written by Masato Ide and Akira Kurosawa, Kagemusha is a film where a petty thief with an utter resemblance to a Samurai warlord is hired as the lord's double. When the warrior dies, petty thief Kagemusha is spared from execution if he agrees to take over for his dead master. Considered to be one of the most visually striking films of cinema, it is certainly a film that is rarely seen on TV and a must watch!

FRENCH FILM

The Intouchables (Based on a true story)

‘Films To See Before You Die’ will be stretching its arms by showcasing the fun and emotional relationship between an aristocrat who is a handicapped millionaire and young fit street smart ex-con guy as his caretaker in the French film The Intouchables which is based on a true story with English subtitles. The Intouchables has broken box office records in its native France and across Europe. It is definitely a film not to miss at it is based on a true story of friendship, rooted in honesty and humour between two individuals.

Iranian Film
A SEPARATION _

Last but not the least A Separation, Star Movies Select HD’s Films to see before you die closes with a truly spectacular film- A Separation.  An Iranian movie in Persian, it tells the tale of a married couple who face a difficult decision - to improve the life of their child by moving to another country or to stay in Iran and look after a deteriorating parent who has Alzheimer's disease. This is like never seen before movie on Indian Television as it is set in contemporary Iran world and a compelling drama about the dissolution of a marriage. It comes as no surprise that the film won an Academy Award for Best Foreign film as well.
