Star Plus, Zee TV and Life OK fetch maximum viewership in week 25

This week Star Plus, Zee TV and Life OK were the only GEC’s to witness a rise in viewership. On the other hand Colors, Sony Entertainment Television and SAB TV registered a decline in viewership. Though Colors lost eyeballs this week the channel has held on to its no. 3 position. The biggest gainer with 35 million TVTs has been the unbeatable Star Plus which has bounced back this week but yet to cross the 700 million mark. Zee gained 24 million and Life OK 14 million TVTs respectively. Though the channels strive to be the best in competition,  no change is seen in the ranking order this week as per viewership data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 25, 2014 (June 15 – June  21 ) for CS 4+, HSM markets.

Detailed below is the data of the top 6 GEC’s performance in week 25 along with previous week’s figures enlisted in the brackets:

Star Plus steady at top of the GEC chart gained viewership and recorded 660737 million GVTs (gross TV viewership in million) as against 625842 million GVTs recorded last week.  The channel has gained 35 million TVTs this week

Zee TV at 2nd position too saw a climb in viewership as it recorded 400337 million GVTs (last week 375662 GVTs) thereby registering an increase of 24 million TVTs
Colors Viacom 18 has retained its no. 3 position but the channel lost 15 million TVTs in week 25 and recorded 351470 million GVTs as against last week’s 365827 million GVTs
Life OK viewership soared as it recorded 332990 million GVTs this week (last week 319452   million GVTs) .The channel which saw a gain of 14 million TVTs, continues to hold 4th position this week too

Sony Entertainment Television viewership registered a marginal dip to record 297528 million GVTs (last week 300118 GVTs) and continues to be at no. 5 in the GEC list.
SAB TV viewership dipped as it recorded a score of 279412 million GVTs (286993 million GVTs) this week thereby registering a loss of   8 million TVTs. The channel is at no.6 in the list.

Following is the market-wise program performance of Hindi Movie channels in Week 25 2014:

Z Cinema gained marginal viewership as it recorded 217070 GVTs as against last week’s 206409 ; Sony Max registered a huge drop and recorded 175084 GVTs (242263 GVTs) ; &pictures viewership dipped this week and recorded 95,725 GVTs (97,216 GVTs) ; UTV Movies ratings picked up this week as it recorded 74,893 GVTs (73,801 GVTs) but  Star Gold lost eyeballs and recorded 183792 GVTs as against last week’s 191569  GVTs. Movies OK registered a huge increase as the channel recorded  153433 GVTs (142870 GVTs)

Star Plus:

Diya Aur Baati Hum witnessed a dip in viewership and recorded 8953 TVTs (9361 TVTs) ; Saathiya Saath viewership took a huge leap as it recorded 8149 TVTs (6856 TVTs) ; Epic series, Mahabharat viewership fell as it registered 6368 TVTs this week (6472 TVTs) ; Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fetched 6087 TVTs (6185 TVTs).  Saraswati Chandra recorded  3854 TVTs (last week 3736 TVTs) ; Veera lost eyeballs as it clocked  4841 TVTs (last week 5503 TVTs) ; Pyaar Ka Dard Hai on the channel fetched 5041 TVTs (last week 5326 TVTs); Yeh Hain Mohabbatein  ratings decreased as it recorded 5713  TVTs (last week 6263 TVTs)

Zee TV:

Jodha Akbar ratings declined as it recorded 7664 TVTs (7736 TVTs) ; Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se recorded 4577 TVTs (4308 TVTs) ; Doli Armanon Ki registered  3026 TVTs (3191 TVTs) ; Qubool Hai recorded 4402 TVTs (3791 TVTs) ; Sapne Suhane recorded  4360 TVTs (3814 TVTs) ; Ek Mutthi Aasmaan registered 2637 TVTs (2483 TVTs) and DID Li’l Masters 3 recorded 2703  TVTs this week as against last week’s score of 3143.

Colors:

Comedy Nights with Kapil recorded a huge increase in ratings with 5854 TVTs (5582 TVTs) ; Beintehaa ratings dipped slightly as it registered 2591 TVTs (2832 TVTs) ; Uttaran recorded  2656 TVTs (2768 TVTs), Bani – Ishq Da Kalma recorded 2347 TVTs (2072 TVTs) ; Rangrasiya garnered 2125 TVTs (2216 TVTs ); Madhubala fetched  2222  TVTs (2282 TVTs) ; Sasural Simar Ka registered  4435  TVTs ((3894 TVTs) and Mission Sapne on the channel recorded 1668 TVTs (2836 TVTs)

Life OK:

Tumhari Pakhi recorded 2348 TVTs (2515 TVTs); Ek Boond Ishq –  2188 TVTs (2312 TVTs), Savdhan India - 2264 TVTs (2348 TVTs); Adventures of Hatim –  1826 TVTs (1952 TVTs) ; Shapath -  2676 TVTs (2510 TVTs) ; Mahadev recorded  1952 TVTs (1883 TVTs) and Gustakh Dil registered  1829 TVTs (2019 TVTs)

Sony Entertainment Television:

CID recorded  3341 TVTs (3411 TVTs) ; Maharana Veer Pratap –  3148  TVTs (3341 TVTs), Ek Nayi Pehchan- 1336 TVTs (1211 TVTs), Encounter –  1129 TVTs (1210 TVTs); Crime Patrol  registered 2448 TVTs as against 2154 TVTs last week while  Entertainment Ke Liye which recorded  2085 TVTs (2222 TVTs) witnessed a drop in viewership in week 25

SAB TV: 

Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma gained maximum eyeballs as it registered 7034 TVTs (6159 TVTs) this week; Chidiya Ghar –2777 TVTs (2448 TVTs); Lapataganj recorded 1771 TVTs (1805 TVTs) ; popular show Bal Veer on the channel recorded 2385 TVTs (2089 TVTs) & Pritam Pyaare aur Woh recorded 1064  TVTs (1157 TVTs)
