Star sports transforming societies into mini stadium via #MYSOCIETYSTADIUM

Star Sports, the official television broadcaster of the TATA IPL 2023, has taken fan engagement to a whole new level with the launch of the #MySocietyStadium initiative, which has seen over 5000 people come together in various cities to watch the screenings of the TATA IPL 2023 matches of their favourite teams.

With the aim of providing fans with the most immersive experience possible, Star Sports has turned societies into mini stadiums, creating a unique initiative that brings fans closer to the game than ever before. Fans have been able to enjoy the matches on big screens with friends and family, creating a shared experience that celebrates the passion and excitement of the TATA IPL 2023.

The #MySocietyStadium initiative has been a resounding success, with match screenings taking place in cities such as Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Lucknow among others. Fans have been treated to the company of cricketing legends such as Yusuf Pathan, GK Anil, Mohammed Kaif, Yo Mahesh, Ashoke Dinda, Sandeep Patil and Aditya Tare, who have visited these screenings and interacted with fans, creating an electrifying atmosphere that has spurred them on to support their favourite teams.

Former Mumbai Indians cricketer Aditya Tare spoke highly of the initiative, saying, “It was an amazing experience watching the match with the fans in their societies, and it literally felt like I’m watching a live game in the stadium, because the energy, the vibe, was terrific, electrifying.”

Tare further added “IPL is best watched together on big screens with friends and family, I think the Star Sports initiative of “Har Society Banega Stadium” is amazing, because you know, just to see all the kids, the adults and even the elderly people coming down, sitting together, watching the game, supporting Mumbai Indians, or their home teams, is just lovely to watch and be part of.”

Tare also highlighted the inclusiveness of the My Society Stadium initiative, noting that “It also brings a sense of inclusiveness, you know, everyone coming down, sitting together, watching the game, it just brought back my memories of childhood, because I grew up in a joint family, every time a cricket match was live on TV, everyone would come, sit together, watch the game and share their knowledge and expertise and you know, enjoy together and share the sorrow of losses. So it’s just great to bring all those emotions back again.”

With more My Society Stadium screenings to take place in more cities during the coming weeks, Star Sports is committed to putting fans at the heart of all their activities, bringing them closer to the game as they gather to celebrate the TATA IPL 2023.
