Starbucks appoints Brady Brewer as new CMO

Kevin Johnson CEO of Starbucks has announced Brady Brewer as their new CMO. The news was circulated in an internal mail to Starbucks employees. As the CMO, Brewer will report to the company’s COO, Roz Brewer.

Brady Brewer will lead the development and execution of the company’s marketing plans and manage the food and beverage portfolio, digital customer experience, creative and brand management, data analytics, and consumer insights.

Brewer replaces Matthew Ryan as the CMO. He was previously the COO of the Starbucks Japan one of the company’s largest markets. He has been associated with the international coffee chain for almost two decades. He joined the company as marketing manager in 2001. Prior to Starbucks, Brady worked with Microsoft. He has a degree in business administration from the University of Washington.
