Starbucks expands it's operation in Mumbai; Launches 4th store

Tata Starbucks Limited, the 50/50 joint venture between Starbucks Coffee Company (Nasdaq: SBUX) and Tata Global Beverages Limited, today opened its fourth store in Mumbai. With the launch of this store, customers can now enjoy the highest-quality arabica coffee, handcrafted beverages, locally relevant food, legendary service and the unique Starbucks Experience at four convenient locations in Mumbai.

Commenting on the store opening, Avani Saglani Davda, CEO, Tata Starbucks Limited stated, “We continue to work towards opening our stores at locations that are convenient for our customers. With the launch of our fourth store in Mumbai, we are excited to extend the unique Starbucks Experience to our customers and look forward to offering our high quality products and elevated customer experience, while providing a community gathering place to connect with family and friends.”

Suitably located at G2, Prudential Building, Hiranandani Business Park in Powai, the store is spread over 2400 sq. ft. with a seating capacity of over 65 and promises to serve as a unique third place for customers.

Located at a cosmopolitan and upscale neighborhood in Mumbai, the store is designed to provide the elevated coffee experience to customers. The newly constructed building exudes the elegant colonial style with decorative metal-work and signage at the store front, designed to complement the architecture. Rich woods and leathers at the store are mixed with local metal craft, jali-work, and hand-crafted tiles  coupled with screened banquettes and generous soft seats that create private places for customers to relax, gather and enjoy the world class ‘Starbucks Experience’.  The store will be open to customers from 7 am till midnight every day.

The store offers extensive product portfolio that includes Starbucks® signature espresso-based beverages, as well as Starbucks VIA™ Ready Brew and Starbucks Reserve™ coffees. The store will also offer Tata® | Tazo® tea and Himalayan mineral water, and its broad food offering boasts a wide selection of 42 items; Western favorites, as well as locally relevant flavors. The store will also offer a wide range of Starbucks merchandize and free Wi-Fi so customers can enjoy the unparalleled coffeehouse experience that Starbucks is known for globally.

Tata Starbucks Limited began operation in India in October 2012 with the launch of three stores within a week (between October 19 and 25, 2012) in Mumbai.
