Starcom MediaVest to handle Yahoo! media duties across 8 countries

In August 2010, Yahoo! had called a global review of its media duties. Prior to which Yahoo! was handled by Mindshare, globally. While MediaVest got the opportunity to handle its account in the US.

MediaVest will be the strategic lead and counsel for Yahoo!'s media planning and buying across this region. It will work with Yahoo! across eight countries in Asia -- Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam as well as Singapore which will be the regional hub for its operations.

MediaVest Worldwide was officially launched in India in 2009, with three offices in Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru. Gradually, offices in Delhi and Ahmedabad mushroomed. It commenced its operations with a list of clients like Cadila, Color Plus, Essar Retail, J Hampstead, and the Richemont Group.
