Storystream grows leadership team with three senior appointments

StoryStream has announced three key appointments to its leadership team as the company builds on strong commercial growth. Mark Dunster joins as SVP Sales, completing the leadership team alongside Mo Mahar, VP of Customer Success and Matt Sykes, Head of Marketing.

Mark Dunster joins from CX platform Alida where he was VP of Sales EMEA & MD UK/FR. Mark says “StoryStream is already helping beloved global brands to transform their eCommerce experience at scale, and I’m so energised by the opportunity to bring the team together and extend that success into new verticals and territories. The sky is the limit with what StoryStream can do to welcome brands into this new age of eCommerce, and as an ever-increasing number of organisations awaken to that opportunity we’ll be there to help them connect that content to their commercial goals.”

Mo Mahar joins from Conversocial where he was Director of Customer Success. “Our company culture is something we’re so proud of, and that culture starts the way we support our clients. How we work collaboratively alongside our customers really sets us apart from our competition; we’re passionate about helping our customers realise the maximum value from their engagement with StoryStream. As we onboard more clients and grow our footprint within existing relationships, I’m excited by the opportunity to totally redefine how we think about Customer Success.”

Matt Sykes joins from PR and Communications agency Archetype where he was Head of Digital. Matt says “While the importance of User-generated Content for brands is something well-understood by social media and digital teams, what we’re seeing is a renewed embracing by all marketing teams of the potential of social proof across customer touchpoints. This is something StoryStream is perfectly positioned to help brands realise right now – and we’re confident that upcoming announcements in our product roadmap will further consolidate our position as the leading innovators in visual commerce.”

Alex Vaidya, CEO of StoryStream says “We are now seeing a fundamental shift in the way people buy online. The process is becoming more visual, and more social – and to remain relevant, brands need to understand how to best leverage the power of social proof. In strengthening our Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams we’re actively investing in our vision of making the next wave of eCommerce one that’s built on truly compelling digital experiences.”

StoryStream is a visual commerce platform working with brands globally including Porsche, Sainsbury’s, Homebase, and Boden. Having recently announced key strategic partnerships with BrandwatchEmplifi, and The Hut Group’s Ingenuity arm, StoryStream was recently named a High Performer by G2.
