Study Abroad platform ASL to hire 500+ employees in the next one year

Adventum Student Living (ASL), a unified student mobility platform facilitating student movement across their ecosystem and enabling them to achieve their dreams of finding the university of their choice, announced that they are planning to ramp up hiring by on-boarding 500 employees in the next one year to cater to the growing demand of students looking to go abroad to pursue their higher education. With the current strength of 263 employees, they have already reached out to over 300k students this year. They plan to hire across verticals like Marketing, Sales, Tech, International Relations, Partnerships, Human Resources, Finance, Operations, etc. This initiative to onboard new professionals is seen as a step to expand operations and the student base by over 100% in the coming year.

The company started with 11 employees in 2019 and in a span of three years they have witnessed an uptick of over 2000% in their employee strength while addressing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic for two years. Focusing on employee centricity has been one of the core pillars of growth for ASL even during tough times. The company has invested intensively in employee initiatives like - period leave for all their female employees, Fun Fridays at work, no meetings day initiative to increase productivity, and ‘Spotlight Day’ to celebrate specific department days. The company houses an extensive library to spark innovation and fuel young minds with the right knowledge, a gaming corner to take a break on long work days and annual off-sites for the team to bond.

Commenting on the same, Sayantan Biswas, Co-Founder, ASL, stated, “Our hiring plans are in line with our growth strategy which includes expansion across US and European countries. While we aim to focus on hiring the best industry talent across verticals this year, we are also stressing employee welfare and retention. Our goal is to reach out to over 800K students from across the globe, by building a strong network of skilled workforce who can help students realise their study abroad dreams. We want to be the top one-stop solution for a hassle-free experience for all students looking to study abroad.”

The company offers three solutions to ease the study abroad procedure for students – UniAcco (for student accommodation worldwide), UniCreds (financing for higher education) and UniScholarz (personalized counseling platform and one-stop solution for studying abroad) that address the pain points of students at every juncture of their study abroad journey. Recently, they also announced their expansion to Australia for their brand UniAcco. So far the company has raised $6 million in funding and is rapidly growing across geographies along with being profitable.
