Sudhanshu Vats & Raj Nayak turn teachers in unique ‘Job Switch’

This Teacher’s Day, Viacom18 partnered with The Akanksha Foundation to pay tribute to teachers in a special way through a unique ‘Job Switch’ initiative. This initiative aimed to encourage young people to come and teach in classrooms and Viacom18 partnered with Akanksha Foundation to spread this message.

To commemorate Teacher’s Day, Sudhanshu Vats, Group CEO, Viacom18, and Raj Nayak, CEO, Hindi Mass Entertainment, Viacom18, invested some time from their busy schedules to teach students at the Foundation’s schools for an hour. While they were away from work teaching kids, students from the Foundation’s schools stepped into their shoes back at their office. Ninth grader Wasim from the Chinchpoli Municipal School became the Group CEO, Viacom18 for a few hours, while seventh grader Tanisha from the D.N. Nagar Municipal School was the CEO of Colors.

Both the kids spent time with Vats’ and Nayak’s teams at the Viacom18 Head Office. Post running through strategy presentations while sipping on a chocolate milkshake, Wasim walked around the office meeting different teams who work with Vats. Tanisha reviewed the new ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’ game and shared some serious feedback with the Digital Team of Colors. She also walked around the floor where the Colors team is seated and got to know her team for the day better.

This job switch was filmed by Ogilvy, who created two short films on this initiative which were released on Teacher’s Day on social media. The films helped spread the message that no matter how busy one’s schedule is, it is always possible to set aside one hour to teach and to enrich the lives of these young minds.
