Sun TV garners highest AMA amongst South GECs in Week 17: BARC data

Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India’s data for Week 18 (Saturday, 1st May 2021 To Friday, 7th May 2021) shows Tamil GEC Sun TV as the leading channel, garnering Average Minute Audiences (AMA) of 2412.72(000) impressions with all the top shows belonging to the channel [(U+R): NCCS All: 2+ Individuals] followed by Telugu GEC Star Maa with AMA 2165.55(000). The South GECs comprise four languages – Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.

Kannada

In Karnataka [(U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals], Zee Kannada has been the constant leader followed by Colors Kannada, Star Suvarna, Udaya TV and Udaya Movies. There was no significant change this week.

Malayalam

In Kerala [(U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] Asianet leads the market, followed by Mazhavil Manorama, Zee Keralam, Flowers TV and Asianet Movies. There was no major change this week except Zee Keralam moving from position 2 to 3 and Mazhavil Manorma shifting upwards from third position to second.

Tamil

In Tamil Nadu/ Puducherry [(U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals], Sun TV led followed by Star Vijay, Zee Tamil, KTV and Star Vijay Super with no major changes.

Telugu

In AP/ Telangana [(U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals], Star Maa led, followed by Zee Telugu, ETV Telugu, Gemini TV and Star Maa Movies. There was no major changes observed in comparison with last year.
