T20 fever grips advertisers too!

It seems advertisers are lured by the T20 cricket matches, as the Champions League T20 has kicked off. Advertisers have moved to sponsoring only T20 matches for better returns.

Reportedly advertisers feel that T20 matches do well and hold the viewers, whereas multi-country One-Day tournaments don't get much audience attention.

According to the reports, the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy's TRP ratings have further added to this strong perception. Though India-Pakistan match recorded a rating of 4.5 but overall matches ranged between 1.7-2, whereas IPL matches saw average ratings of about 4.

Added glitz and glamour could be a reason but ground sponsors like Havells and Samsung feel that through T20 matches they are able to get the catch hold of a diversified audience. As quoted in the media, IPL CEO Sundar Raman says, "The T20 format of cricket delivers audiences at all levels ' women, families, and children. The fact that it reaches out to multiple target audiences is what makes the T20 format that much more attractive to advertisers."

So, what are you planning to watch!
