Tata Technologies reinforces its commitment to empowering women
International Women's Day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. This day we not only celebrate women's accomplishments but also highlight the continued need for gender equality in various fields. Tata Technologies is committed to empowering women and promoting diversity in the workplace, and this is reflected in our organization wide endeavours. Through RAINBOW, our dedicated Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiative, we have kickstarted a series of interventions to not only train high potential women, but also handhold them in their leadership journeys through alignment with coaches & mentors – a step that is instrumental in ensuring the ‘glass cliff’ is avoided. We have also supported skill building in STEM field for underprivileged girls for close to a decade now – this is our way to provide the requisite support and show our willingness to walk with talent to make them industry-ready.
As part of our International Women’s Day celebration 2023, we rolled out a 10-day long campaign to recognize and celebrate the contributions of our women leaders. This covered an external and internal campaign to cover stories of our women leaders making an Impact, encouraging employees to share their stories of how they chased their dreams and organizing several communication talks and recognition programs.
The external campaign started on 28th March with the roll out of 1st social media post that profiled how Tata Technologies In embracing equity followed by a poll. This was followed by a series of stories of our women leaders that were shared in short form video format. We have also organized several talks and recognition program to motivate and engage women.
As part of our Internal communication campaign, we are running a #YouInspireMe workplace campaign, organizing webinars on health and wellness & financial management, discussions, seminars, and workshops on topics such as gender equality, women's empowerment, and diversity in the workplace.
These activities aim to engage and motivate employees to become more aware and sensitive to the challenges faced by women in the workplace and society at large.
The company has launched a flagship Rainbow program, which aims to promote and nurtures Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity in the workplace. This has always been an important part of Tata Technologies and is hardcoded into its vision of Engineering a Better World and our core value Global Mindset. To cater to our customers' needs, it is imperative that we increase the representation of diverse groups within the organization, enabling the organization to continue finding ‘better & better’ solutions. This program supports and encourages employees from diverse backgrounds, including women, to participate in various initiatives and activities. The program is designed to create a safe and welcoming environment for all employees, regardless of their gender, race, or ethnicity The Rainbow program is a testament to the company's commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
