The Advertising Club announces Marquees 2018; Sanjiv Mehta reappointed as President

The Advertising Club, India’s foremost advertising community has announced the 2nd edition of “Marquees”. The renowned industry award that debuted last year recognizes brands for their excellence in marketing and brand building. After successfully chairing the Jury in the first edition, Sanjiv Mehta, CEO & MD, Hindustan Unilever Limited & Executive Vice President, Unilever South Asia, has returned as Jury President for Marquees 2018.

The other jury members include industry stalwarts and media mavens like CVL Srinivas, Country Manager, WPP India; Harsh Goenka, Chairman, RPG Enterprises; Agnello Dias, Founder & Chief Creative Officer, Taproot Dentsu; Naveen Chopra, Sr. Advisor, TPG Capital; Raj Nayak, COO, Viacom18 and Dilip Cherian, Founding Partner & Group Chairman, Perfect Relations.

Marquees is set to be a grand affair bringing together thought leaders and industry veterans from Advertising, Marketing and Media Fraternity.  The award recognises brands that showcase resilience and emerge successful in the face of numerous adversaries, thus iterating the well-known adage: “That which does not break you only makes you stronger”. The event last year was a huge success with 300 top marketers of the country assembling to receive awards from the who’s who of the industry.

Speaking about the awards, Vikram Sakhuja, Group CEO, media and OOH, Madison Communications & President, The Advertising Club said, “The Ad Club launched the Marquees in 2017 to celebrate Excellence in Marketing. In its second year, we are happy to have the same stellar jury chaired by Unilever’s Sanjiv Mehta deciding on this year’s laurels.
