The curious of case of Amazon missing ‘ME’ from PRIME VIDEO - #WhereIsMe?

Amazon Prime Video today took everyone by surprise with the disappearance of the letters ‘ME’ from its logo as well as digital media handles. Soon after, social-media started buzzing with intrigue and guesses on the curious case of missing ‘me’ from Prime. Leading brands such as Tinder, Dunzo, Amazon Prime Music, Panasonic, Dream 11 and Unacademy  all joined in the  missing ‘ME’ search-party trying to unravel the mystery. A series of hilarious memes and hashtag – #WhereisME popped all throughout the day on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Since its launch four years ago, Amazon Prime Video has redefined India’s entertainment by bringing the latest and captivating content anywhere and everywhere for viewers. Their content line-up boasts of all the headlining web-shows and direct-to-digital blockbuster releases including Amazon Originals like Mirzapur, Paatal Lok, Panchayat, The Family Man, Made In Heaven, among others and global releases of films like Shakuntala Devi, Gulabo Sitabo, Soorari Pottru, CU Soon and Coolie No. 1 to name a few. Through a host of disruptive and engaging marketing initiatives, Amazon Prime Video has enjoys great brand love and a loyal base of fans – who engage very often with the service.

As the streaming service drops ‘ME’ from its digital handles and logo; we are scratching our head and brushing our chin wondering if it’s a technical glitch, a fresh content line-up, a new marketing initiative or to put simply - an existential ennui?
