The Magic of 'Mastana Shammi'

Zee Classic, the Hindi movie channel known for its vast library of evergreen movies from the golden era of Indian cinema is all set to entertain its viewers with the upcoming Shammi Kapoor Film Festival ‘Mastana Shammi’ starting from February 9th to 12th, 2015 at 2:30 PM daily.

The month of romance will be filled with the effervescence of the actor extraordinaire known to charm audiences with his magnetic personaand irresistible confidence. Zee Classic through its special programming of ‘Mastana Shammi’ will celebrate the journey this distinguished actor through his blockbuster movies Andaz, Brahmachari, Prince and Professor.

Director Ramesh Sippy’s multi – starrer 1971 romantic movie, Andaz starring Shammi Kapoor, Hema Mailini with Rajesh Khanna in a guest appearance will take you on a melodious joyride.  Next in the line is 1968 social satire Brahmachari, which inspired Shekhar Kapoor to make his mega blockbuster hit Mr. India.  Embellished with peppy chartbusters like ‘Badan Pe Sitare Lapete Huye’ Prince released in 1969 is a charming film about an arrogant prince having a change of heart post living a life of a commoner. Another swinging sixty’s blockbuster– Professor is a hilarious film about a young man inadvertently disguising himself as an elderly professor to make ends meet.

Starting from 9th February Andaz will captivate the audience;on 10th February its mischievous Shammi with Brahmachari, 11th February watch Shammi Kapoor in his royalty awatar in Prince and ‘Mastana Shammi’ ends with Professor on 12 February at 2.30 PM
