The news that India watched the most in Week 51

Chrome Data Analytics and Media has unveiled its latest Chrome News Content Consumption data for Week 51. The study highlights the News Content aired across India by choosing the ‘Most Aired, Most Watched and Most Discussed News of the Week’. 

The survey conducted is an outcome of the data collected from 34,000 Chrome DM panel homes across India. It analyses the effectiveness of the News aired on television every week and categorises it through three broad segments – namely, Most Aired, Most Watched and Most Discussed. 

Most Aired News in Week 51: 

According to the Chrome News Content Consumption data for the Week 51 of 2018, MP/ CG/ Rajasthan Elections is the most Aired News this week. Following is the ‘1984 Anti-Sikh Riots’.The News about ‘PM Modi in Raebareli’ stood at the third spot. The 2019 Lok Sabha Elections find a place on the fourth spot, whereas Bulandshahr Violence has managed to get into the list taking the fifth and final spot. 

Most Watched News in Week 51: 

The survey also unveils that the Most Aired News MP/ CG/ Rajasthan Elections is the most watched news for the week. Followed by ‘1984 Anti-Sikh Riots’, which stood at No. 2. The 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, PM Modi in Raebareli and Bulandshahr Violence are placed third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in the list. 

Most Discussed News in Week 51: 

On the other hand, taking a closer view of the Most Discussed News category of the survey, the news about MP/ CG/ Rajasthan Elections has been the talk of the nation, making it the most discussed news, whereas the ‘1984 Anti-Sikh Riots’ is the second most discussed news as per the survey. ‘2019 Lok Sabha Elections’ became the third most discussed news among the masses. Ram Mandir and Bulandshahr Violence are placed fourth and fifth in the list.
