This Summer, It’s Time To #TakeACloserLook Into Game of Thrones

A series about a medieval fantasy world with dragons, warring families and political intrigue, ever since Game of Thrones hit television screens it became a cultural phenomenon. Based on the bestselling fantasy book series by George R.R. Martin, Game of Thrones has won 38 Primetime Emmy Awards and has a global fan following unlike any other show.

With season 7 soon to launch on Star World, the channel is giving fans a chance to relive the magic, excitement and saga by airing seasons 1-6 of Game of Thrones starting 24th April, every Monday to Friday at 10pm on Star World and Star World HD.

With a plethora of characters and complex storyline, it is easy to miss the minute details and clues that connect the dots across seasons. This summer, Star World will give viewers a chance to delve even deeper into the lives and events in Game of Thrones and take a closer look at all that has transpired in the past six seasons. Through the campaign ‘#TakeACloserLook’, Star World has created interesting surround content in the form of episodic short videos that will highlight lesser known trivia, foreshadowing theories and predications thereby enhancing the viewing experience for fans.

For instance, did you know that Cersei Lannister had four children? Besides the three with Jaime, her firstborn child (who died) was with Robert Baratheon. Have you noticed that King Robert Baratheon is never seen sitting on the Iron Throne? The first person we see sitting on the throne is Ned Stark and the first king that is shown sitting on it is Joffrey. After pushing Bran from the tower, do you remember Jaime telling Tyrion that he would rather die than be a cripple when in fact in season 3, Jamie ends up becoming a cripple himself? Did you notice that Little finger also unknowingly predicted Tywin Lannister’s death when he tells Robin Arryn that people even die squatting over their chamber pots.

A complex, gripping and mind-blowing show that has left viewers hungry for more, the first six seasons of Game of Thrones is strewn with clues as to how the storyline of the season 7 will unfurl. So #TakeACloserLook and watch Game of Thrones seasons 1-6 starting 24th April, Monday to Friday at 10pm on Star World and Star World HD.
