TikTok eliminates 60 lakh videos for content violation

Under the scanner of the Indian Government for anti-national and obscene content on the platform, TikTok has started cracking the whip on its content and deleted over 60 lakh videos that have violated the content guidelines in India.

It may be recalled that the Indian Government recently pulled up TikTok over its content and posed 24 questions related to the posting of anti-national content as well as obscene content and the lower age for logging in on to the platform, which leaves the door open for children.

Meanwhile, Chinese company Bytedance Technology, the parent company of TikTok, has claimed to have over 20 crore users in India, which is rapidly growing in terms of gaining new users as well as content traffic.
