TIL leads Indian online space: comScore Report

Times Internet Limited (TIL) has been once again ranked as the top Indian internet network in India. The comScore data released for September 2011 places TIL ahead of its competitors Network18 and Rediff.com to claim the top slot.

As per the data released, the month of September saw 17.5 million unique visitors to the TIL sites, as compared to Network 18, which managed 15.7 million visitors and Rediff.com with 15.4 million visitors. Times Internet Limited's audience base has grown over 50 percent in last one year (Sep-2010 to Sep-2011), on par with Facebook's growth and more than double of Google and Yahoo's.

Among the network's sites, The Times of India and the Economic Times websites continue to be the leading news portal and financial newspaper portal respectively. With 7.8 million unique visitors The Times of India website has more than double the traffic of that of the nearest competition in India.

Gaana.com, within three months of launch, has become the number one music streaming website, with 3.17 million unique visitors. What is exciting to note is that 2.5 million of those visitors come from India alone ' a figure that has tripled in the last three months. Gaana.com provides free and completely licensed music”ranging from the latest Bollywood releases to regional music and International songs”to its listeners through a unique interface. It is also the first major music site deployed in HTML5, and fully compatible on the iPad , thereby making it accessible across as many platforms as possible.

In the auto category, Zigwheels.com made it to the number one spot with 1.6 million unique visitors. Zigwheels.com is increasingly becoming the preferred destination as the expert source for automobile news, reviews, videos, research and more. And in the hyper-competitive deals space, timesdeal.com had the 2nd most traffic of all deals' sites in India last month.
