Times Television Network enters US market

TIMES NOW India's most watched general English news channel devoted to providing pure and relevant news to its viewers around the clock; and zoOm ' India's 100 % Bollywood channel which brings viewers closer to the biggest stars of the Indian film industry can now be watched in the United States of America.

As the world order changes, India has become increasingly more important to the larger populace of the US, besides the large Indian diaspora who are interested in everything that happens in India. The launch of the 2 channels from Times Television Network will allow the South Asian community in US access to the Live Breaking news and analysis from India with TIMES NOW and the latest Bollywood gossip, news, music, and movies with zoOm. These channels target the urban premium audiences in India and will easily connect with the large and affluent Indian and Asian communities.

The network roped in Award winning Film stars Anil Kapoor and Vidya Balan for the launch event on 10th February held at the Marriott Marquise, Times Square, New York. The event was attended by the Consul Generals of India and Bangladesh, the senator from New York, the city commissioner of New York, the speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly and many corporates, media and the press.

Adressing the press conference organized on the occasion, Sunil Lulla, Managing Director & CEO of Times Television Network highlighted the tremendous equity enjoyed by TIMES NOW and zoOm in India, their leadership positions and the continued efforts of Times Television Network to reach out to audiences across the world. He was excited that now more Indians and India-focused audiences in the US would be able enjoy the unique content that these channels provide to their viewers.

TIMES NOW and zoOm will be available in the US on the leading DTH platform, DISH Network. They are available on DISH's Hindi Mega Pack with EPG numbers as: TIMES NOW Channel Number 652, zoOm's channel number 649. In addition, TIMES NOW is also available on the DISH's News Pack. Both channels will also be available on the Dish IPTV platform. The DISH Hindi Mega Pack is priced at $49.99 per month and includes 19 other channels.
