As creators vie for attention, the channel stood out by cementing all the top 5 slots in HSM Urban for Week 16’21, 2-14, NCCS ABC. Not just that, Taarak Mehta Kka Chhota Chashmah is the top rated show for the year 2021, across all kids’ genre. The overwhelming appreciation for the show cemented its position as the slot leader in both original and repeat time bands across the kids entertainment genre, garnering an impressive 16.5% slot share growth in the original time band and a growth of 9.7% slot share in the repeat time band. Moreover, the marquee property led to a growth of 22.5 GRP for Sony YAY! which has translated into 27% viewership share of the category for original slot, and the repeat slot has a 19% share of the category in HSM Urban. In addition to that, the young audience also couldn’t get enough of some of their favourite episodes of the show like ‘Bapuji Ke Sone Ke Daat’ and ‘Kidnapping’ which received a whopping 1.72+ TVR and peaked as high as 36% slot share. The channel further consolidated its leading position in key markets like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Kerala. Sony YAY!’s reach is in rank 1 league in the kids entertainment category.
