Top stars of Indian Cinema and Television in 2019

IMDb, the world’s most popular and authoritative source for movie, TV and celebrity content, has unveiled the 2019 Top 10 Stars of Indian cinema and television web series. Rather than base its annual rankings on small statistical samplings, reviews of professional critics, or box office performance, IMDb determines its definitive top 10 lists using data from IMDbPro STARmeter rankings, which are based on the actual pageviews of the more than 200 million monthly IMDb visitors. 2019 IMDb Fan Favorite STARmeter Award recipient Priyanka Chopra Jonas ranks as this year’s No. 1 top star of Indian cinema and television.

And the 2019 winners are:

IMDb Top 10 Stars of Indian Cinema and Television in 2019 (The 10 stars appearing in 2019 Indian films or television web series who consistently ranked highest on the IMDbPro weekly STARmeter chart throughout the year. IMDbPro STARmeter rankings are based on the actual page views of the more than 200 million monthly visitors to IMDb.)

No. 1 top star Priyanka Chopra Jonas accepted an IMDb Fan Favorite STARmeter Award during a visit to the invitation-only IMDb celebrity video studio in Toronto this past September, where her film ‘The Sky is Pink’ premiered.

Also of note:

Disha Patani (No. 2), Salman Khan (No. 6) and Katrina Kaif (No. 8) captivated audiences this year with their performances in the film ‘Bharat’.
Sobhita Dhulipala makes her debut on the list this year at No. 10 with her breakout role in the Amazon Prime Video web series, ‘Made in Heaven’.
Rakul Preet Singh (No. 9) starred in films from different regional industries, including Hindi (‘De De Pyar De’, ‘Marjaavaan’), Tamil (‘NGK’) and Telugu (‘Manmadhuhu 2’) this year.
