TribeVibe & Sunburn set for India’s 1st back-to-college fresher’s fest

TribeVibe, one of the biggest platforms in the college festival circuit, in association with Center fresh, leading Gum & Mint brand in India, Sunburn, Asia’s major electronic dance music festival, and Bollyboom, world’s first and largest Bollywood Dance Music IP, announces the launch of the ‘Freshers Fest’. This is India’s very first back-to-college fresher’s festival that aims at welcoming students in the new academic year. The two-day-long fiesta will be held on 21st – 22nd August, 2021, through a digital format and bring together over 150,000 fans from 400+ colleges across 40 cities to attend the grand launch.

Freshers from pan-India college circuit can look forward to starting their academic year with this immersive, never-seen-before, electrifying virtual experience. The EDM genre will witness the participation of leading global artists including Yellow Claw, Julia Bliss and Teri Miko. The Indie genre, on the other hand, has the likes of The Yellow Diary, Taba Chake and many more, while the ever popular Bollywood category features Asees Kaur, Anuv Jain, among others.

Co-Powered by Snapchat, the launch edition of ‘Freshers Festival’ has its very own, exclusive filter for students to explore and make their time memorable. There is a special filter for couples, called the Trivia Couples filter by Center fresh. Just visit the site and follow the instructions carefully. Every winner stands a chance to take home amazing giveaways including cash prizes, get featured in the Freshers Festival and also meet the artists virtually.

Rohit Kapoor, Director Marketing at Perfetti Van Melle (makers of Center fresh), says, “We are delighted to associate with TribeVibe for this virtual festival. First day at college is always a special experience. With the Freshers Festival, we want to make this debut in every student’s life unique and fresh, especially in times like these. Freshers Festival is a unique experiential platform and provides our brand Center fresh the ideal platform to connect with its core audience. During the course of the event the brand plans to bring its ‘fresh breath confidence’ proposition alive through engagement activity like branded filter and video song of “Center fresh Mints- Keep it fresh” from Taba Chake.

Through this virtual platform, we are hoping to reach out to as many students as possible and give the ‘freshers’ a warm, exciting welcome that they are waiting for!”

Shoven Shah, Founder & CEO of TribeVibe Private Limited, adds, “TribeVibe has been a revolution in the college circuit in terms of its expertise in organising massive college fests, brand activations and creating thrilling experiences for students. The idea of conceptualising and organising the premier edition of Freshers Festival stemmed from the thought of fulfilling every student’s imagination of fun college days and welcoming them to colleges with a bang. We have received an overwhelming response from students who are eager to attend this online live concert featuring multi-genre artists like –Asees Kaur, Taba Chake, Yellow Claw and a lot more. A massive viewership of 300-400k is expected over the course of these two days. We are extremely thankful to our partner Center fresh who throughout the journey has bolstered our confidence and had complete faith in our team.”

Going forward in 2022, the festival plans to adopt a Hybrid mode, including a large-scale virtual and on-ground festival presenting an array of music, entertainment, and F&B options, bringing together music aficionados from over 200 colleges spanning 50 Indian cities.

The TibeVibe -  Perfetti Van Melle collaboration for ‘Freshers Fest’ has been facilitated by GroupM ESP Properties.
