TRP tampering case: One more arrest made

With one more arrest made in the TRP manipulation case, the total number of people arrested in the case so far stands at five. The latest arrest made is of one Vinay Tripathi, another former employee of Hansa Research Group.

Media reports have quoted Mumbai Police as saying that Tripathi was a key accused in the case. The police said that it was under Tripathi’s instruction that another accused in the case, Vishal Bhandari, also a former employee of Hansa Research, asked five panel homes to watch a particular news channel.

Meanwhile, the bank accounts of Fakt Marathi and Box Cinema – the other two channels named by the Mumbai Police Commissioner, have been frozen by the police. The bank accounts of the owners of these two channels have also been frozen.
