TV channels indulge kids of all ages this Children’s Day

Children’s Day sees a plethora of content and activities to engage the little ones as well as to indulge the child in grown-ups. As with every year, this year too, sees, broadcast players come up with several shows to woo children.

We take a look at what is on offer across television screens on Children’s Day this year.

Tata Sky

The DTH service provider has some up with special programming for kids on November 13 and 14, which cover a range of topics. Mickey Mehta has designed specially designed activity classes for kids as part of Actve Fitness.

To indulge the chef in the young ones, Tata Sky has introduced Actve Cooking for Kids, which features fun and easy recipes that kids can not only enjoy, but also cook themselves.

To carry on the merriment, Actve Fun Learn has Children’s Day special programme with videos on animated rhymes, stories, how to draw videos, classroom jokes, nail art videos learning videos, cartoons and craft videos.

Comedy Central

The channel is airing ‘Betty White’s Off Their Rockers’, where Betty White and the senior citizens gang play pranks on people, possibly younger to them by two generations. Comedy Central will air back-to-back episodes of ‘Betty White’s Off Their Rockers’ on November 14, 3 pm onwards.

Cartoon Network

The channel will hold the movie premiere of ‘Kris Aur Shoonya Registaan’ on November 14 at 1 pm. The film showcases a trip by Kris and his friends to Kutch – the land of white desert. As the trip commences, the turmoil for Kris and his friends begin as well.

Pogo

Pogo kicked off its Children’s Day fare on November 7 itself with new episodes of ‘Tom and Jerry’ every day at 8 pm. ‘Chhota Bheem’ is throwing a unique Bachha Party with his friends at Dholakpur on November 14 at 3 pm, where he will narrate stories of Dholakpur with his friends Chutki, Kalia, Dholu Bholu, Raju and Indumati. The celebrations will continue with new special of ‘Chhota Bheem’.

That’s not all, Pogo is also giving parents a chance to feature their wishes to their children or even be a part of the special Bheem Baccha Party episode. All they have to do is send in their wishes to the channel.

Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon plans to distribute ice-creams and play games with kids and adults alike. The channel is encouraging parents to celebrate Children’s Day by imparting in them values of live and sharing small happiness. Kids are being encouraged to spend the day with underprivileged kids at various orphanages.

Sony Entertainment Television

The Sony Team is celebrating Children’s Day with Shilpa Shetty’s son Vivaan Kundra on its dance reality show, ‘Super Dancer’, who is seen dancing with the kids and having a good time.

Zindagi

Zindagi has been airing ‘Little Lord’ at 7.30 pm, which is about the mischievous antics of six-year old Mehmet. ‘Little Lord’ is a light-hearted Turkish drama which tells an endearing tale of a parent-child relationship through the lens of a six-year-old boy, Mehmet. He tries to solve big problems in his own way and tries to unite his ever-fighting parents by re-emphasising the importance of family. This unintentionally hilarious series airs every Monday to Saturday at 7.30 pm.
