&TV extends original programming hours with new show 'Waaris'

&TV is all set to open up a new time slot with social drama ‘Waaris’. Premiering on May 16 at 7.00 pm, the show will air every Monday to Friday. Set against the backdrop of Punjab, the show is produced by Ashvini Yardi’s Viniyard Films.

‘Waaris’ that traces the journey of a girl, Manpreet, whose identity is hidden by her mother and who has been raised as a boy due to adverse circumstances. The show brings together an ensemble cast that includes names like Aarti Singh as Amba Pawania - Manpreet’s mother, Iqbal Khan as Charan Pawania - Manpreet’s father, Akshay Dogra as Charan’s younger brother Jagan Pawania, Mukesh Khanna as Lalaji Bajwa, Sidhant Suryavanshi as Harjeet Bajwa and Sania Tauqeer as Manpreet Pawania.
