TV this week: Star at No 1; Zee follows suit

Star Plus has once again managed to rule the GEC space as it inched closer to the 300 GRP mark. In week 27 of TAM 2012, Star Plus managed to acquire 298 GRPs (last week 266).The IIFA awards telecast on the channel on July 7 seems to have helped it strengthen its position in the GEC domain. IIFA received a 4.7 TVR.
 
Zee TV is successfully riding on the second position with 238 GRPs (last week 211). The recently launched supernatural series Fear Files along with Dance India Dance Little Masters is working wonders for the channel.
 
Colors has slipped down to the third position with 225 GRPs (last week 233). It has lost 8 GRPs in week 27.
 
Sony Entertainment has crossed the 200 mark by garnering 207 GRPs (last week 194).
 
Sab TV has managed to add 5 GRPs over the week. The channel recorded 125 GRPs (last week 120). Life OK also managed to add a few GRPs; as it recorded 103 GRPs this week (last week 101).
 
Sahara One recorded 31 GRPs (last week 42). This is the channel’s lowest rating in the recent times. (The data has been sourced from TAM subscribers)
