TV this week: Star Plus leads the charts with 276 GRPs

Star’s most talked about show Satyameva Jayate  garnered an average 4 TVR for the CS4+ in the Hindi speaking markets and an average of 4.9 TVR for the All 4+ market as it debuted on nine channels Star Plus, Star Pravah, DD National, ETV, Star Utsav, Vijay, Star Jalsha, Star World & Asianet on 6th May 2012 at 11 am.
 
The show has been the first to galvanize the 11 am slot after the good old days of Ramayana and Mahabharata.The debut episode of Satyameva Jayate on its flagship channel Star Plus garnered a 3 TVR. People in the media community have shown mixed responses.Some say that although the statistics do not show an impressive number;the positive vibes that the show has generated and most importantly the buzz that it has set going in the market is extremely commendable.While others believe that the show will pick up slowly and so it should be allowed to settle down.
 
According  to the TAM data for week 19, Star Plus once again managed to be in the leading spot with a GRP of 276, a direct jump of 14 GRPs over the last week,courtesy Satyameva Jayate.
 
Zee TV is at number 2 with 224 GRPs although it lost 15 GRPs this week.Sony TV has managed to retain the third position with 217 GRPs(last week 220 GRPs).
 
Interestingly,Balika Vadhu which is Colors’ flagship show has enabled it to cross the 200 GRP mark.Colors recorded 201 GRPs this week.(last week 195 GRP).
 
Sony Sab has seen an interesting leap from 104 GRPs last week as it recorded whopping 131 GRPs in week 19 of TAM.
 
Life OK has managed to gain a few GRPs this week by recording 91 GRPs(last week 85).
 
Sahara One has once again slipped from 41 GRPs to 40 GRPs.
