TV This Week | Star Plus tops GEC chart, Life OK steady at No.3!

Television ratings last week showed Star Plus leading the charts, and similarly the channel at secured the top slot this week as well. Also, in the gainers list is ZEE TV which has managed to get higher viewership this week as well.

On the other side, Colors, SET, Life OK and SAB TV have registered a decline in viewership. However, compared to others on the losing charts, Life OK’s decline is minimal.

This week showed no change in the ranking order, as per viewership data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 27, 2014 (29th June- 5th July) for CS 4+, HSM markets.

Detailed below is the data of the top 6 GEC’s performance in week 27 along with previous week’s figures enlisted in the brackets:

Star Plus, showed growth in viewership and tops the GEC chart once again, having recorded 703493 million GVTs (gross TV viewership in million) as against 659904 million GVTs recorded last week.

Zee TV at 2nd position showed growth in viewership of 479080 million GVTs as against 423066.

Life OK, though back on no. 3 has registered a decline in viewership of 347760 million GVT’s against 358113 last week.

Colors remains at No. 4 and has recorded 320019 compared to 351407 last week.

Sony Entertainment Television viewership registered a record decline and scored 287707 million GVTs as against 348733 in the last week. SET, however is still at no. 5 in the GEC list.

SAB TV’s viewership showed marginal decline and recorded 275947 million GVTs against 279874 million GVTs last week. The channel is at no.6 in the list.

Following is the market-wise program performance of Hindi Movie channels in Week 26 2014:

Sony Max registered growth of 199836 GVTs against recorded 173845 last week; Z Cinema showed decline in viewership of 186879 GVT’s as against 210441 GVTs last week.

&pictures viewership decreased this week and recorded 82663 GVT’s as 97755 GVTs last week; UTV Movies viewership too decreased this week as it recorded 73080 GVT’s as compare to 84329 GVTs last week.

Star Gold also showed decline of 180145 GVT’s as compare to 187117 GVTs last week, Movies OK showed declined of 125531 GVT’s as compare to 140448 GVT’s last week. Sony Max2 registered an increase as the channel recorded 26495 GVT’s as compare to 24304 GVTs last week.
