TV Today Network invests in 11.9 mn equity shares of Mail Today Newspapers

TV Today Network (TVTN) proposes to consolidate the news business of Mail Today Newspapers with the channel business of TVTN to bring editorial and business synergy. In a move towards this objective, TVTN has invested in 11,917,002 equity shares of Mail Today Newspapers aggregating to Rs 119,170,020 (representing 8.33 per cent of the increased paid-up share capital of Mail Today Newspapers). 

Mail Today is the wholly owned subsidiary company of TV Today Network. Mail Today Newspapers was incorporated on May 9, 2007 and started its operations on November 16, 2007. 

With this, TV Today Network, along with its wholly owned subsidiary company India Today Online, holds 143,004,018 equity shares of Mail Today Newspapers of Rs 10 each (representing 100 per cent of the paid-up share capital of Mail Today Newspapers).
